Visit the NWSCC to learn more about the Nechako white sturgeon and the Nechako River watershed, by reading the interpretive signs outside the facility.
This wheel can be found at the NWS Conservation Centre in Vanderhoof and the Exploration Place in Prince George. It is a fun and engaging way to learn about the risks for sturgeon at each life stage.
Signs are located at the White Swan Park boat launch in Fraser Lake, Pedersen Beach boat launch on the north side of the lake, Beaumont Provincial Park boat launch, and at bridge in the Nadleh Whut'en community. The sign in Nadleh speaks to the research happening on sturgeon and burbot in the lake.
